When I told Mr. Happy that I was going to ride up to Hyder, AK in August, he pestered me to take him along. So I loaded up Mr. Happy, my WeeStrom and riding buddy Terry Hays and off we went. By the time we got to Bear Glacier, Mr. H. was dying to get out of the saddle bags. After checking into our motel in Hyder, we all went sight seeing at the Salmon Glacier (about 25 miles up a gravel road). After getting one photo of me holding Mr. Happy, he informed me that he didn’t want me in his pictures any more…so I put him in a more comfortable location for his photo shoot. Mr. Happy had so much fun on our Hyder trip, he has been asleep in his saddle bag ever since.
